MISSION
STATEMENT
We aim to deliver effective training of the highest quality at value-for-money prices
leading to nationally recognised qualifications through qualified trainers who have
practical experience in the subjects they teach.
Anthony
Stockbridge & Associates is an independent training organisation which has been
designing and delivering training to the hospitality sector since 1989.
HISTORY
Its Principal,
Anthony Stockbridge, has been associated with the management of licensed retail venues for
thirty years from pub manager to senior executive with a major national brewery.
Passing knowledge of wine on to others is a passion with Anthony. He has the WSET
Diploma in Wine and is a member of the Association of Wine Educators and accredited by
CIVB Bordeaux and BIVB Burgundy as a specialist educator. To keep up-to-date with
trends in the industry he makes several visits each year to wine growing regions.
AS&A have won National Innkeeping Training Awards on three occasions and been
finalists on a further three. We also reached the finals of the National Training
Awards and Anthony won the title of UK Ambassadeur du Champagne and won the prize for the
best and most original wine training session in the European finals in 2005.
Our
clients are drawn from many groups; Mature, motivated career-changers in the public sector
who wish to become publicans; Unemployed men and women who are seeking new knowledge and
skills which will improve their chances of regaining employment; Existing publicans and
their staff who wish to further their careers by gaining qualifications. Corporate
organisations which seek external training resources.
TRAINING VENUES
AS&A run a programme of course at venues in Cambridgeshire, Surrey and Merseyside and
open courses for clients in Lincolnshire, and the Thames valley.
CORPORATE
CLIENTS
We are completely mobile and can run courses at any suitable venue for corporate clients.
Our corporate clients include Tourism Southeast, Intercontinental Hotels Group, The
Huntsbridge Group, Boston College, First College, Corpus Christi, Homerton and St John's
Colleges in Cambridge, Mightie.

NEW ASSOCIATE(S)
If you are a
professional trainer with hands-on experience in the licensed retail sector you might be
interested in joining us as an associate. To qualify, you will have a recognised
training qualification and a minimum of CIEH Advanced Hygiene Certificate, WSET Advanced
Certificate in Wines and Spirits or equivalent. The right, ambitious person will
have the opportunity to take over the business over the next five years or to an agreed
timetable.
